BUHS GRADUATE HIRED AS SUMMER DIRECTOR
Estey Organ Museum Looks for Volunteers
Brattleboro, VT, USA, July 11, 2003 -- The Estey Organ Museum
has hired Blanche Greene-Cramer as Summer Director for the recently
opened museum. She will oversee museum operations and docent volunteers.
"My biggest concern right now is finding people to work at the
museum on the weekends" said Greene-Cramer. "I'd also like to start
connecting with teachers and schools as soon as possible to let
them know about the museum. I know that certain grades are required
to study Vermont history. I want to see if I can find out which
grade, and who to get in touch with to see if those classes would
like to tour the museum at some point during the school year."
Ms. Greene-Cramer graduated from BUHS in June 2002, and deferred
from Brown University for a year. She's spent this year teaching
dance, working at the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center, studying
photography and Italian in Florence, and travelling to England,
Wales, and Scotland. She hopes to continue with dance and music
at Brown this fall while completing a biomedical engineering major.
If you would like to volunteer at the Estey Organ Museum, please
send an e-mail with your name and contact information to info@esteyorganmuseum.org,
or call Blanche directly at 802-257-7017.
The Estey Organ Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to
5 pm and is located at 108 (Rear) Birge Street in Brattleboro. Admission
is $2, and free for members of the museum.
